@nokiam - is it worth trying a factory reset and build from scratch (not backup) and see if issues remain?

UK Sentinel

I found a lot more BUGS, I was obliged as I said above, to return to version 7743, because both the 15850 and the 15852 were not remedied some errors, and they even put more BUGS ...

Will this new version appear on the Drivers & Tools webpage soon?  It still has version 3.0.0.4.382.15850.  In the meantime, how does someone upgrade to this new version?

Thank you.

>read the previous comments, and you will see that it is not a good idea to update at the moment for a newer version, due to the various BUGS that are appearing in the new version, instead of fixing, the Asus engineers added more BUGS in 24 Hours after update 1850 and 15852, as I was told to keep with update 7743, even to Asus gives an opinion that can update ....

Under 'Drivers and Utilities' when I last looked, firmware version 3.0.0.4.382.15852  and reports are that some users are having no issues, but others are.

If you load latest firmware, best to factory reset router, and rebuild/configure from scratch nd not load settings from a backup config.

Let us know if the newest firmware works for yourself?

Even when updating and even doing the ZERO configuration, the 15852 firmware has many BUGS on the router interface, as I have already mentioned in several other posts, I do not recommend upgrading, because instead of fixing the BUGS, the engineers BUGS, I recommend to wait, to see if Asus gives a position, more basically, its users do not care about BUGS, which appeared in version 15852, as I reported in the post, the BUGS are still in the version 15852, I returned to 7743, I made the update again to see if they had solved the BUGS I said, nothing has changed, it shows how it was said in the pages of browsers, slow loading of the internet, slow loading in the page of the ROUTER , it shows a BUG where it shows the status of the connection, which is only showing CHECKING CONNECTION, instead of showing CONNECTED, on the right side where it shows the WIFI connections, and NETWORK and STATUS, shows A WIFI NETWORK OF 60GHz, there are several BUGS added to this update, where ASUS should have been careful, before launching the update ... Do not check the installation of the update .......

I see the new firmware there now, thank you.  I don't have the router yet but I want to go buy it today (12:45 pm here now).  I'm not sure what firmware it will have out of the box, nor am I sure whether it will upgrade the firmware shortly after I connect it.  Can I prevent it from upgrading automatically?  I am aware of one user who brought it home from the store, connected it, it upgraded (automatically I presume) and it bricked.  He had to bring it back the same day to swap it for a new one.

The router does not update itself automatically, you have to give permission for it to do it, in case it does, you can return to version 7743, I explained that the update 15850 or 15852 is presenting many problems of BUGS, and ASUS is not doing Nothing to solve ....

I got the router.  I connected it and cancelled the prompt to upgrade firmware.  So far so good.  Leaving it at v.3.0.0.4.380.4180.

Download the update 7743, and install manually, this one and the one with less BUGs, already the 15852 is presenting many BUGs and ASUS, has not yet given a solution ...
