I just upgraded my media PC to windows 10 and can't access it from my o!play>it shows up when I browse the network, but doesn't accept any credentials I enter, including my windows logon name/password>
>I have gone to that computer and tried dumbing down the security, even set shares to no password required, but I consistently get "login fail" from the o!play.>
>I have verified that I can navigate to and access the shared folders from other computers, as well as from my tablet (non windows based) and can login and access the shares.

in "run" type gpedit.msc

this will open Local Group Policy Editor

now, navigate to Computer Configuration - Windows Settings -Security Settings - Local Policies -Security Options and in right window open "Network access: Named Pipes that can be accessed anonymously".

Than type IPC$ in opened window.

Apply, press OK, and you will now be able to access everything as before.

Edit: path is updated, last Widnows 10 update changed some settings to default, and some paths are changed to.
