I have default ntp server (pool.ntp.org) and the time is not reset after reboot. (Reboot with button in router menu). FW: 3.0.0.4.220.18b Merlin build

I have the  default ntp server set too and it happened  when I changed settings on the wireless
5 GHz - Tx value - the router restarted and the date and time was not correct. When I went to the gui and did not change anything on the Administration - System and pressed the Apply I got the correct date and time setting set.

Honti, you are lucky man.

For me it doesn't work. Firmware 3.0.0.4.260, but same problem.
And it is big problem!

I'll explain it: I use "Parental control". I disabled internet access for the night. When I was driving at my work, happened temporary power outages at home. Router is rebooted, of course. Date and time are reset. My family in this time can't use internet, because for them it is night!!!

It's very very bad and very very sad.

Maybe a cron job should be added to run an update for the ntp client

The problem of NTP client is still present in the last Firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.2734
It could be temporary solved as reported in the first message of this thread:

Administration -> System --> APPLY button

Sorry the problem is related to router DSL-N55U
