Hi BH,

The message you get indicates that either is the BIOS file not extracted (unzipped) or the USB Flash drive isn't formatted FAT32.
With EZ Flash 2 there is no need for renaming of the BIOS file.
(u)EFI stands for (unified) Extensible Firmware Interface, which is replacing the old BIOS (Basic I/O System).

Hi BH..

I'd write to Asus about this because for most all boards, there is a converter program.. software that allows the current BIOS and flashing tool to properly hook the new BIOS..  I didn't see any sort of converter available for flashing to the .cap extention for your board...

If you write and find out anything, post back ...

Hi,

No converter should be necessary, since this board has used .CAP files since first BIOS release. No converter is supplied with the BIOS download either.

To my knowledge, only X79 motherboards need a converter for .CAP files. (Z77 boards had .CAP files from start).

Hi Hiker..

Yes..  you are right.. even the original BIOS file listed for this board is in .cap fromat..  so the OP's issue is curious...

EDIT..

There are so many of these boards in the series.. I wonder if he downloaded the correct BIOS..?

Hi Ulrich,

Exactly my thought also. There are so many H61 motherboards, and they just keep coming. They have very, very similar names, so it's very easy to confuse them.
