I recently purchased RT-N56U router. I want to use this Router in Repeater mode. Though the document says it can be used as Repeater but I could not find any option on this in the Setup. Can anyone help me in this regards ?

I assume this is a open box router never been touch

Connect a cat5 cable from your computer to the router
Open browsers(IE, firefox etc.....) enter address: 192.168.1.1
user name: admin password: admin
follow the Quick internet setup......

On the left side bar click on 'Wireless' - 'Bridge' tab

Apply the following setting.
AP mode:  AP ONLY
Connect to APs in list: YES
Control Channel: *Same channel as your wifi connection*

Under Remote AP List find your wifi name and click on (+)
Click on Apply
your all set.  You can plug the router anywhere with power or you can plug into a computer without wireless card as wireless adapter

Lee Thanks. A small question. Will it work because in my case following is the scenario : I've DSL-N55U Gigabit ADSL+Router and to extend the range of this I bought N%6U Router to use it as repeater and I don't have Cat5 Cable but I've 2 Nos. of Cat6 Cables which if I plug into this router then desktop fails to connect. Regards Rakesh
