New to the forum so Hello All
I have acquired a used computer with an M2A-VM and a Athlon 64 XII D/C 4200+with 3 gig of ram. I am interested in seeing just how far I can push the speed limit with this aged board. I have read in a couple of places that if you give it the latest BIOS this thing can work with the 6 core CPU's. I have a hard time believing this if the posts below about power requirements are true. I know that it will support the 4 core but 6? Anyway I could use a hand in picking my makeover parts.
Thanks in advance,

Hi 2..

Thuban processor are not supported... but some Deneb core processors are... as you mention.  All silicon is different and so it may actually be possible to get a Thuban to work on some of these boards.  There are some that dissipate 95watts
