Hi I am here still quite anew in the forum:) and, unfortunately, has a problem with right bios settings for 8 GB Ram please can anyone help me.

My system looks as follows:

Hauptplatine: Asus Rampage Formula X48
Bios: Version 1001
CPU: Intel Q9550 no OC
RAM: 4x 2 GB Mushkin 996599r DDR2 PC2 - 8500 5-5-5-18
Grafikkarte: 1x Powercolor 4870 PCS+
Netzteil: Enermax Revolution 950 Watt
Tower: NZXT Tempest
Betriebssystem: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
Festplatte: OCZ Vertex2 Extended 120GB SSD

8GB Ram -> Memtest no errors -> Windows Appcrashes and Restarts
4GB Ram -> Memtest no errors -> Windows no errors

If 8 GB are installed and then everything in the BIOS stands on AUTO the memtest86+ shows no errors, however then I have in the operating system often apprashs or new starts then has also tried to put the Ram voltage @2.1 V properly and put ram settings to 1066 unfortunately. Maybe who can help me here please further to solve 8 GB problem. Thank you for all answers:)

MFG Stephan

Did you try to run  some stress tests in Windows?

Prime95 Small FFT's to test the CPU. MemTest For Windows to test the memory and the NB.
