Hi Guys,

I am currently installing the new Rampage 3 motherboard into my system. I noticed that the motherboard has 2x8 pin power connections on the board by the CPU. Do I need to plug in both 8 pin connections or just one? Will I see better performance with both plugged in?

The instruction manual is a little vague. I do not want to make a mistake. I would appreciate any help you can give.

My System:

Antec 1200
GTX 480x3
Silverstone Strider ST-1500watt

It's certainly not going to hurt anything having both 8-pin 12v connected, and it will add stability when overclocking.

Does all of the Power Supplies come with both cables?. I'm planning on buying the Rampage III Extreme and a XFX 750 Power Supply but can't find any info to make sure about compatibility.

No not all have two 8-pin cables.  Most 1000w power supplies do.  I know what you mean, the specs do not tell you most of the time.  This one does have two 8-pin 12v connectors and it is a great price, looks cool and powerful.  I bought it and have had no problems here after about 1 month.  As a matter of fact my pc has been extremely stable.  Of course i

I bought this one and I was lucky.  I got it on sale for $160 from newegg.  Price has gone up since.  Very nice Power Supply and clean connections.

Tiger Direct has it for $160 right now too!

XFX 750 specs show;
4+4 pin EPS12V/ATX12V connector (530mm)
8 pin EPS12V (530mm)
I think the 4+4 will combine as a second 8 pin.
