All the sudden, the battery stopped charging.  I noticed the light on charger brick is flashing blue, instead of constant blue. The light stays on blue if one end is plugged into the outlet while the other end is not connected to the machine.  Is this a problem with the adapter or machine?  What should I do to fix the problem? Thanks for any advice.

I had an EEE PC 900 with a PSU with a blue flashing light
I  bought a new power supply with a green LED.
I now have a choice, I can have a PSU with a blue flashing light or a PSU with a green flashing light.
I intend to get an RMA number and return the PC 900 under warranty.

Regards

Thanks for the post.

I have an EEE PC 1008HA. It always had a blue light on the PSU. Last week I started getting messages that it was switching from AC to battery, and then back again. Last night when I got home the light was out completely and the system ran on battery until it ran out.

Your post sounds like excellent advice to em, too.
