Not yet, i think.

I have noticed that there is a green light inside the O!Play even when it is off. It is normal?

When the OPlay is on, this light is blinking.

Is it your LAN light for network connection? I think mine is green, but I am not sure.

Any suggestions if this problem can be solved? Otherwise i'll return it to the retailer (until wednesday i'll get my money back).
Maybe WD TV HD Live is the better choice :/

BTW...not long ago, WD released a firmware update to their device that bricked alot of their media players.

I had 1.05 and flashed 1.09 and it solved a lot of issues I had especially networking. I ended up reinstalling 1.09 as I wasn't patient enough the first time. It seemed after the screen says it is finished it actually isn't and the hard drive continues with whatever it is suppose to do.

I have the PAL version and I've tested 1.09 firm.

All works ok, but no news about turning on from remote :(

Nope. The light I say is "inside" the o'play... moreover, mine is connected wirelessly.
