Hi , i want to buy the quad core q9650 or 9550 i dont want to overclock it , my mobo is rev 1.xx? or where can i see if i have another version? because the everest , cpuz shows me that i have rev 1.xx. and the bios is 2504.
Is so much problem getting this procesor for this mother with this revision? because i only want to change the cpu , the other components are fine. Do you think that if i get the latest bios and any of this procesors and never overclock them i would have problems or bad stability?and it will work to 100% or less?

my pc : asus p5w dh deluxe
e6400
4gb 800 mhz supertalent
engts250 1gb dk asus ( being repared by asus )
700 watts vitsuba

Thanks for helping and sorry my bad english ! :)

I have Q9550 since 4 weeks. It's working very nice. The cpu runs only with multiplicator 8, not 8,5.
So the maximum speed is 2667MHz. Also you can't overclock the processor with this board.
