Hello, i used to share my internet connection with my sony PS3 using the Asus WiFi ( win XP), but after i installed the windows 7 RC1 64 it wasn´t possible anymore,  the wifi ap solo does not work !
Dos anyone has the solution for this? I couldn´t find the way to configure this without the asus wifi ap, if there is any?
Thanks a lot

Hi Daniel,

Did you follow the instructions as is told in here (under Wireless Lan subject):
http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20090315020406924&board_id=1&model=P5E3+DELUXE%2fWiFi-AP&page=1&SLanguage=en-us

If it does not work, use the link below to download Ralink utility which is specific for our wireless card.

http://www.ralinktech.com.tw/data/drivers/IS_AP_STA_RT2870_D-1.4.5.0_VA-2.3.5.0_W7-3.0.2.0_RU-3.1.0.0_AU-3.0.2.0_071509_1.5.1.0_Free.exe

After installing it, Ralink icon will appear in the system tray. Right click and select "Switch to SPA + AP Mode" and here you go..

I hope this will solve your problem. Good luck..

Hello,

I had a simular problem with an Asus P5B-de Luxe Wifi edition motherboard.
The problem was solved with realtek_RTL8187L_6.1316-w7(www.station-drivers.com).exe. Obviously this is the Realtek USB2.0 LAN driver for the hardware integrated on my motherboard.
Note: remove the Asus rtll8187 driver first.
Next run the .exe file. It will automatically unpack in the current directory.
Run setup from that directory and connect to your wireless AP as usual.

Succes

it seems asus has lost it in windows 7 :(

too bad i can't use the asus wifi-ap solo for its access point to connect with my nokia c3 phone.

the driver on the support site for asus p5b-deluxe wifi/ap somehow link to an atheros chipset driver, not the rtl8187l like the xp did.

asus, please fix this! grrr...
