That is weird. How come for vista released in 31st July 2009, the version is 6320 but the one released in 13th April 2009 is 6480

hello
when i get and install SoundMAX Audio Driver v6.10.x.6585 for Windows 7 32/64bit released July 31, 2009
speaker and mic detect and set but microphon is silence and dont work ?
my mobo is p5k deluxe wifi with windows 7

Yes there's something odd going on. I downloaded version 6.10.02.6480 in June 2008, and the driver is dated 20th March 2008. Looking inside this 6320 file, it's dated 25th October 2007, so it doesn't look like a new driver to me.
I'm currently running version 6.10.02.6520, dated 10th July 2008, so that would still seem to be the most up-to-date version.

Because these aren't release dates. They're dates that the driver package was created and/or uploaded to the server (posted). The actual driver version and the signing date can be different from the release and/or posting dates.

Greetings fellow Asus owners! I stumbled across this thread while looking for updates to my Asus P5K DELUXE WIFI running winxp sp3 and win7.
Can you tell me if these soundmax drivers apply to the asus p5k deluxe wifi motherboard?
As you are aware the latest drivers that come up from the asus download link for my board are at least 2 sometimes 3 years old.

These Drivers work a treat for my M3N HT deluxe mempipe mobo
The official vista 64 bit drivers on the asus website dont work, but the drivers on the disk work (dirvers when vista first came out)

Thanks for the info and link for the soundmax driver,
I have a Asus P5N-T deluxe and recently upgraded up to windows 7 64bit but had problems with sound while playing games,
But this driver worked a charm for me

| Well, the driver did work. HOWEVER, while we have sound, we do not have sound out of the side speakers - three out of five. (We are using surround sound 5.1). We can test them via Sound Max and they all work. Win7 sees all the speakers but they don't work. Asus MB P5K3 Deluxe. Ideas? They worked fine under XP
