According to statements from ASUS, there will be no R2E BIOS in the near future.....

Hard to accept!!!!!

Seems typical of Asus to slowly, or not adopt support for new components being released.

It is a shame!
We bought a top class MB (the most expensive X58 on the market), with a BIOS full of limits and bugs, and they say such statements?

I always bought Asus MB but if they will go on with the actual policy, I will stop buying their products!

Nothing official, but sometimes rumors are based on real.

I don't really understand the Asus policy about R2E and Xeon. Most of the competitors are unlocking Xeon cpu on their motherboards, like Gigabyte, DFI, EVGA, Biostar, etc.

This is a ROG product, it MUST enable any known trick on any hardware, in order to obtain max performances and highest overclocks!
