Hi G

How many drivers do you have on your system. Remove all drivers and reboot and then install the driver you want. Do not overwrite drivers.

Make sure you enable in bios also.

Hi,
I've reformat the system, and the first I've installed win/xp Sp2, after that ? tried to install the last audio drive (i downloaded from asus site), but the drive don't work.

Now I found the article in microsoft about the High definition Audio (888111), But i don know if that is the right way.

Hi,
I'm sorry but the 888111 is the microsoft fix for UAA.
I'm solve the problem.
I've reinstalled win/xp, disinstall the UAA driver and reinstall audio drivers.

If you want zero trouble with audio, disable the horrible realtek audio in bios and buy a second hand Audigy sound card, you won´t regret the move. You will then be able to use the individual volume controls for recording ....!!! Your recordings will have very low noise compared to realtek´s.

The realtek is just useless, I could not use even with Skype, the mic input noise was too high. Unfortunately, Asus is using realtek chip instead of analog devices as with my old P4C800 motherboard.
