Hi Willy, What I am trying to do is to install XP onto one Hard Disc and Vista onto another SATA Hard Disc after changing my motherboard to a A8V-X.
However in each case the Windows Installation disc 'can not find a hard disc' ( it shows up in the BIOS OK). I don't want to have to copy windows installation discs and I don't have XP SP2.
Strange but this PC I am using with a P5K serires did not have this problem.
Any ides?

Is your computer a desktop with ASUS A8V-X motherboard? If the answer is yes, you should discuss it in the A8V-X motherboard forum.
Anyway, as far as I know, this motherboard is with AMD CPU and VIA chipset. Try to search in the VIA website for the proper SATA driver. Or, change the SATA Operation Mode in the BIOS to IDE, so that XP can find the hard disk during installation.
There is no XP installation problem for ASUS P5K motherboard, because the SATA Operation Mode in the BIOS is IDE.
Good luck!!
