Asus: Please work to resolve this ASAP. This card was advertised as being able to emulate EAX, and so far it is failing miserably.

However I really can't reccomend the Xonar to anyone else considering its current crop of issues. Hardware wise it's a really nice piece of work, but the incompatibilities with many popular games make it just about a non-starter for someone looking to replace their Creative Labs card.

Unfortunately you're right...
I am a bit disappointed with this card so far...

Well, this isn't a game but when you have DS3D GX2.0 enabeled on FRAPS 2.9.4 it will not record sound.

So does this card actualy work well with ANY decent recent games?

On a side note I had STALKER working with  DS3D GX but it wasn't proper 5.1 just seemed like stereo spread round all the speakers.

Command & Conquer 3 cutscenes stutter with GX disabled, enabled it works fine.

System Specs:
WinXP Pro SP3 (32bit)
Xonar D2 - Driver: 1738

I see GTA San Andreas is on the list, this game is notorious for sound issues my old Audigy2 soundcard had problems with popping/crackling and odd cutoffs. Fortunately I've only experienced odd cutoffs with Xonar D2 haven't tested with new Xonar drivers featuring GX.

Does there exist any rumours when the next driver version are coming out? It would be nice if these problems (even Mass Effect..) would be fixed.

I think most of us picked Asus instead of Creative in hope of better driver support. Please, Asus, don't let us down.

My hardware: Asus Xonar DX
My driver: Latest Asus Xonar DX driver. (Tried with all drivers, same issues the bioshock fix doesn't work, thought I'd give it a shot)

Game: Tom clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

Dialogs, bullet sounds, character sounds dissapear.
Sound actions activated by player are repeated, cut off and stutter.

As I cant edit my post I'd like to add with DS3D GX 2.0 -Disabled- the game seems to work.
When will we be able to use GX 2.0? Are there any custom patches that fix this issue?
