Hi!
I would like to open this thread so Developers of drivers for the Xonar have a common place to look at, I found this Sound card Amazing, Even if this GX setting werent included at all, I belive this is the best Sound Card i have ever listened to, but As this setting exists, and have a lot of problems with older software, It will be really good for the Asus owners; AND FUTURE ones for you  to solve this problems as you did with BioShock.-

For newbies, DS3D-GX Setting on the latest driver update let you "emulate" EAX 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 settings, on Xonar cards, but as this requires an "emulator" to work, as every other emulator, "emulation is NOT PERFECT, but if we share the problems we have, MAYBE the developers can find a solution to all this "little" problems, and have TRUE EAX Emulation in all of our games/Aplications.-

No further talking, here is the list that does not work when you select DS3D-GX On Vista X64 Drivers

List of Games/App, that cause a Blue screen with cmudaxp (DS3D-GX Enable)

Games:
Colin McRae Rally 3.0
Colin McRae Rally 4.0
Colin McRae Rally 5.0
Max Payne
Fable
Sega Rally

Applications:
ffdshow

List of Not working, quiting to windows, or Not able to select EAX Settings.-.-

Oblivion (quiting to windows)
Prince of Persia - the Two Thrones (base.dll missing) Replacing Base.dll, and detectionapi.dll from Warrior Within Fix the problem.-
Street Racing Sindicate (Not able to select EAX Settings)
BioShock (quiting to windows)
Juiced (Not able to select EAX Settings)
megaman 8 (quiting to windows), Direct Sound Error
The Return Of The King (Pops and Crackles)

Mass Effect (missing Sounds; No 5.1)
battelfield 2 (poping on XP and no support on vista 32)
Assasin's Creed (poping and bad reverb)
Raven Shield (volume too low)

I will be watching this thread daily, so I update my list with your results!

Hope somebody think this is a good idea, and have some feedback from developers!
Thanks to all!
Max.-

I read that too, but maybe thats only a disclaimer, so you do not take for granted that some developer will actually help you, I also open a case, to see what the technicians have to say about it.-

Well, sending the list to Asus support has been proven useless.  I sent a tech sup request back in March regarding Conflict Denied Ops and Front Lines Fuel of War failing to launch with the card and got nothing but the response of "we are working on it".  Mean while, it has been almost 3 months since I bought the games........

Here at least people will know what games are incompatible instead of wasting their time to troubleshoot......

Hi!
well today i recive word from asus tech sup., and for the third time they asked me whats the problem, so i re direct them to this thread.-

Updating the troubleshooting, if anyone still have problems with ffdshow audio (klite codecs), the solution to it, is to select Wave out in the output configuration tab.-
This way we lost the soft volume, but we dont have to worry about the blue screen, UNTIL SOMEONE  FIX THE PROBLEM.-.

Are you still having problems with bioshock?

There was a patch for that put out by asus.

I am running Xp64, and it plays fine.

Although, if I enable eax 5, I get a hissing sound from the speakers, which just sux (but not as bad as an X-FI).

Add Mass Effect.

Audio errors (missing files etc.) but game still plays. No 5.1 :-(

Add battelfield 2 when DX 5.0 is enable on XP we ear a lot of poping sound, and on vista 32 we can't enable the EAX 5.0.

On Assasin's Creed we ear a lot of poping and bad reverb when GX is enable.

On Raven Shield the Eax work but no great, the sound volume on some sound is too low.

I have send many email to asus about my issues, but they never awnser.
