I've compiled a pack of all drivers necessary to get your Asus G1S running with Windows XP. All drivers have been fully tested and comfired working on Windows XP Professional SP2 (32-bit).
http://nsa.f28.us/G1S/Asus_G1S_XP_Driver_Pack.zip (242 MB)
Drivers Included:
- ACPI Control
- Audio
- Bluetooth
- Chipset
- Ethernet
- Flash Media Controller
- Modem
- Raid Configurer
- TouchPad
- Video
- Wireless
Utilities Included:
- Direct Console
- Email LED
- GameFace
- IP Switch
- LifeFrame2
- MultiFrame
- NB Probe
- Power4 Gear
- Splendid XP
- Asus Video Security
- Wireless Console
NOTE: Install the chipset and ACPI drivers first
After you have the chipset and ACPI drivers installed and have rebooted, install the audio drivers. Once the audio driver installation is complete, do not reboot. Go to:
Control Panel (Classic View) -> System -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager
In the Device Manager, under "System Devices", select "PCI Device" as shown: http://nsa.f28.us/G1S/Audio_DeviceManager.png
Let Windows automatically install drivers for it. Reboot and your audio will work.

Hi, I've got a question. When I receive my notebook, I just have to format and to install XP. Then I actualize to SP2 and start to install all drivers, isn't it? I won't have any problem with the pack it's uploaded here, will I? Do I have to install one driver before another? If you could help me, telling me how to do it completely, I will be very grateful. Thanks a lot, I hope you will help me, I don't know how to do it!

The unknown "base"-device is most certainly the RICOH reader(SD). I had to download a dell driver(via DriverAgent) for the Ricoh device to get it working.
But anyway, I gave up my XP project for now, couldn't get the video to work. I'll give a new go some day.
