one of the main reasons why i purchased this device was that i could you skype like a regular phone. so here is the dissapointement that it actually doesnt work like a regular phone. the problem being that the sound goes to the external speaker rather than internal (regular phone uses), so skype pretty much cannot be used once you are out and about. :(( ASUS, please fix this ASAP. also the contact search default to Letters not numbers ....

It
is not the Skype application that is the problem, it is the
manufacturer that don't provide an audio routing API for Skype to use.
The only way you will ever get head speaker support for your device is
if (when?) Asus provides an audio routing ROM patch for your PDA. So,
if you want to to get head speaker support, direct your complaint to
Asus. Skype cannot do anything more about it.
SO - ASUS PLEASE DO THIS FOR US??

As stated at the official Skype forums by a member of the Skype staff..:
"This is known issue and we are working on it. Unfortunately we need
manufacturers support to get it working so we cannot estimate when it
will be fixed for Asus P525"
Please Asus fix this thing. We need Skype to work with the internal speaker!

Hey Asus - this definitely needs to be fixed. I'm on the verge of buying one of these things, and one of it's selling points (for me) is being able to use Skype. So come on, get it working correctly - you don't really include the Skype software for someone to install on their desktop PC, do you?

Yes, we really need this feature. Please add it to ROM (especially to updating now Russian ROM).
Thanks.
