I realy need a vista 32bit driver for ASUS 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Card, to get my internet connection to work.
Cant remember exactly what it said, but something like the adapter was not good enough to connect with the network.
When/where can I get a working driver?

System:
Windows Vista RTM build 6000
P5AD2-E Premium - ASUS 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Card

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I tried installing the XP driver from the cd I got from the motherboard, and it installed successfully. The device manager said everything was working fine, but the connect button to the network was outgreyed and I couldnt click on it. It works fine here in XP.

I guess it will take a long time until they make a vista driver for this device? since its not actually new.

Driver from the cd is
Marvel
date 20.05.2004
version 2.3.0.19

What is that WIFI card main controller?
A Ralink RT2500 or Marvell controller?
You can try to visit controller manufacture to seek for the latest driver, for Vista (if possible) or for XP.

The WIFI controller on the P5AD2-E Premium is made by Marvell I believe.  I too am looking for the Vista driver only for the 64-bit edition.  I have found pretty much every other driver for the system but am having a lot of trouble finding this one.  I tried many of the Ralink drivers but every single one I try keeps reporting that "The Device Cannot Start."  I really hope Asus gets on creating Vista drivers soon.  Especially ones for atleast netwok connectivity.

P.S.: I've also tried all the 64-bit Marvell drivers from the P5AD2-E download pages.  Any help on this would be a life saver!  Thanks!

Sincerely,
The Panther

The WLAN adapter uses the Marvell Libertas 802.11g chip.  Any drivers, firmware, and client utilities are supplied by Marvell (to ASUS).  Marvell has no driver downloads available for its WLAN chips.  I found a few WLAN adapters from other companies that use this chip, and none have Vista drivers available.  In fact, ASUS has the latest XP drivers I could find for this adapter.

Apparently, XP drivers for this adapter should work with Vista.  Microsoft included XP drivers for the Marvell Libertas WLAN chip in the Supplemental Driver Pack for Vista Beta.  Below is a partial list of the relevant WLAN adapters supported by the Vista Supplemental Driver Pack (Beta):

"The drivers in this package are XP drivers for legacy devices which we believe to function well on Windows Vista.  For various reasons these drivers will not be ‘in the box’ for the final version of Vista but we are including them in this package for ease of installation during the Beta program.  As these are legacy drivers there is no support provided.

The Vista RTM DVD is supposed to ship with over 19K drivers on the disc, and there is already an additional 10K+ drivers available from Windows Update for Vista.  Windows Update for Vista might have drivers (or not).  Otherwise, you'll probably have to wait until Vista is released to the public (if Marvell releases any at all).
