*** READ ALL THE 'HOW TO SOLVE' ALL FROM FIRST TILL ALST LINE ***

FIRST OF ALL MAKE THE BACKUPS OF EVERYTHING YOU NEED!!!

THIS IS MY SOLUTION:

Hi to all the guys, I have one my personal news. For the Bios problem I found a personal solution, I was so furious that I spent a week-end to find it ... and I found it!!! Now I see all the video and I installed on my pc an old version of Bios. FIRST OF ALL MAKE A  BACKUP OF EVERYTHING IMPORTANT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU CONTINUE WITH MY PROCEDURE! I MADE IN THIS WAY AN NOW MY BIOS IS BACK TO 0207!!! BUT REMEMBER IT'S YOUR OWN RISK!

I made in this way:

  1. I made a backup of everything important I need.

  1. I download from the site the old version of Bios 0207 and also winflash utility.

  1. This is the most important step, you need to download an editor of bin files, googleing I found and install one on the pc.

  1. I change the extension of the file from A2K to Bin then I open the file of 0207 with the program to edit the binary file and in the line where there are the dates, in the end of file, I put the date in 2008 and I saved the new version of bin bios.

  1. I flashed the bios with winflash which one saw the date of new file as 2008's version but it's the old one ;) so it will flash the bios, and it won't give back an error on date of BIOS file date ;)

  1. Now I reboot the pc and the partition goes away, it's dead (FOR IT YOU NEED TO MAKE BACKUPS), I format with the original CDs and I install the original version of Win Xp Home and all the driver all ATI driver,

  1. It works everything and all the files avi, mpg ecc ecc

GUY I MADE IN THIS WAY AND IT WORKS 100% I'M USING THIS PC ALSO IN THIS MOMENT WHILE I WRITE THIS 'HOW TO SOLVE'.
I TOOK MY RISK AND IT WORKS, REMEMBER IT'S YOUR OWN RISK!!! BUT IT WORKS.

Greetings to the entire world!

Is the edited 0207 bios working without overlay problem in winxp 64? how about refreshing the bios in dos without the harddrive connected(unplug)? did you try this way, i wonder if this way would not affect the harddrive at all. that means i make a bootable cd with Aflash2.exe and the edited bios file 0207,what do you think?by the way ,i really like to know how did you edit or combine the bois s, and what kind of problem could be solved? i also wonder: did you update the bios with 0208beta and then install a fresh winxp ,this will lead to overlay problem,so you fresh the bios with the edited 0207bios. if you did like this, why not just keep the old 0207a bios ,there will be no big difference. unless no overlay problem in winxp 64 or provide more IRQs in winxp32 with your edited 0207. if you have time, could you try more? thanks a lot.we are all waiting for a working solution,Hopefully, the edited bios not just changed in date only  that make it can be updatable from 0208 to 0207(change to year 2008)

Is the edited 0207 bios working without overlay problem in winxp 64?

I don't know i have never installed win xp 64 on this bios and i will never do it.

how about refreshing the bios in dos without the harddrive connected(unplug)?

i have never tried and when i flashed mine i made it with the hard disk connected/plugged :) so i lost all :( i don't know which effect could have it one the hard disk. for me it was important to see the video i mean all the kind of files without the frezeing of the notebook for the conflicts, so now i have this bios edited in the date modificed and from the sistem i flashed with this bios seen as new by winflash, but it's old. making the same from boot cd from dos maybe it works try, your own risk.

by the way ,i really like to know how did you edit or combine the bois s, and what kind of problem could be solved?

i have installed this old bios in my way just to see the movies,  films, avi, mpg without freezing, i made all just for it, i have never tried to install win 64 bit i'm not interested, i fight enought thanks to that bastard unusable bios!

did you update the bios with 0208beta and then install a fresh winxp ,this will lead to overlay problem,so you fresh the bios with the edited 0207bios. if you did like this, why not just keep the old 0207a bios ,there will be no big difference. unless no overlay problem in winxp 64 or provide more IRQs in winxp32 with your edited 0207.

i didn't flash the bios just with 0207 old because i made it from the operativ system so winflash when you load the bios read the date and it sees that it's older than that bastard 0208beta and it block the process of flash and i could install that old one, so i made editing the date in the 0207 with a stupid program specialized to open bin files, our bios are bin's files, you can make it if you are able istall a bin editor and opening the bios 0207, you'll see all exadecimal number and in a special position there's the date, you need just to put if forward ;) and i'll flash the bios from system with winflash.

unless no overlay problem in winxp 64 or provide more IRQs in winxp32 with your edited 0207

about this thing i don't know anything, but if this problem which you write is about video frezeeing it works perfect in win xp 32 bit i see all the video as i saw when i bought the notebook.

if you have time, could you try more? thanks a lot.we are all waiting for a working solution,Hopefully, the edited bios not just changed in date only  that make it can be updatable from 0208 to 0207(change to year 2008)

in my way i found a way to flash the bios with the old bios and now i can see movies good!
greetings! from milan! :)

You could edit your posts to add : "fix for the bios downgrading problem (208 to 207) for winflash"
Some ppl could misunderstand that this is an apic fix for win64
