I have an asus n53sv with nvidia gt 540m, but hdmi port doesn't work. In the bios setup there isn't any isue about graphic card or vga. DVI port works fine, but it depends on Intel Graphic. In nvidia control panel i have only 2 menu about 3d option and video, but not resolution or port manager. I could set game features, but i cannot use hdmi. Why? i know it's really strange!
I try to update driver, but it didn't fix the problem.
Any solution? Hel ME, please!

Same issue here! I've got a N53SV and I can't seem to find a way to connect to any device with HDMI. I hit [WINDOWS KEY] + P and it cycles thru the list of options but none of them push the image to my monitor/TV. I updated the NVidia drivers and same thing. Help!

Same issue here with N53SV. Neither Windows nor Linux shows HDMI. However if I try to boot a machine while HDMI cable is plugged in the machine boots up but the screen remains blank (no BIOS messages are displayed, nothing else is displayed), the screen just looks like it's not even turned on up until the Windows request me to log on.

Here's what worked for myself and several others . . . http://whrl.pl/Rc31g1 The problem is the physical attributes of the HDMI port on the N53SV. It's really deep and some cables have a problem seating properly. http://whrl.pl/Rc31g1
