Fine, I've got the same problem - black screen, 1 long+3 short beeps. So my retailer has sent the card to ASUS. Hope they'll fix it quicker than in 2 months...

Hello,

Same issue here :(

I purchased my ENGTS250 card last august. The card has worked fine during 3 weeks and suddenly I encounter the same issue :
random black screen with fan at high speed

I have sent back my card to my reseller. They have tested the card with 3D Mark during hours and they said the card works fine, no problem seen.
They don't want to refund or change the card.

The card come back to home, I test again the card and I get the issue 2 times, then no more problem. At this time the card works fine again.

I have tested the card with 2 PCs with different hardware and I have got the issue on the 2 PCs. The issue happens with or without OS running, I have got the issue in bios menu, in windows XP and in Linux.

I am disappointed, I have bought ASUS because I thought it means very serious hardware.

Hello,

some news :

I get my card back the 1st October. It was working fine again until today.
This morning, the issue has came back.
What can I do ? put it to the trash and lose 120 € ...

one more clue :
On linux, when the issue happen, I can connect from another PC with ssh.
I see the X server has segfault and the process loop in system mode. It's not possible to kill the X process .

It stopped work just yesterday. That crazy!!! I bought ENGTS250 DK TOP in May as exchange of suddenly died ENGT8600.

1.
8600 worked 1,3 year in very soft mode, mostly 2D. Then - dead. OK, forgot and bought new one.

2.
Now 250 dies in 5 months!!!!!
Symptoms - blank screen just after power on - LCD Asus PW201 + DVI cable. I found interesting thing when I connected it to LCD via VGA cable (through adapter) - I can see from 5 - 25 second BIOS screen (even hardware monitoring which is OK) - then "No signal". Press reset on PC - again, 5 - 25 second viewing - blank screen.

It does mean that card is not 100% dead, I guess. Any ideas to do (except replacement)?

PS: MB - Asus P5K-E/Wifi AP works OK. Just tested it inserting Matrox Millenium II (y. 1996) :)

Hi all,

I have the same problem. I have ENGTS250 DK graphics card with PT6 motherboard and Intel core i7 920 CPU and Corsair 750W power supply and Win7- 64bit.

Suddenly, graphics card started black outs. It seems to be related to something when it is graphics intensive. It usually has couple of minutes before it black outs after a new boot. I turned OFF Windows Aero and am able to keep it running for more. H

Any ideas? Thanks...
