| I'm having problems with my graphics driver. It's an ASUS EAH4850 TOP-HTDI-512M. When I install the latest driver, version 8.782, there are image defects in my Windows interface (it's Windows 7 64-bit).
Here is what I'm talking about (see lower left corner):

When I install an older driver, version 8.751, everything works fine. Any idea what might be causing the issue? Thanks.

Hi,
Driver issues if works with old diver.
Would just wait for newer driver as not all drivers work with certain configurations.
If no problems stay where you are. If it isn't broken(Don't fix it) lol

| Thanks for replying.
You're right, it's basically fine as it is. I was just thinking - most software and hardware companies recommend installing the latest drivers, and (sometimes) there's a good reason for it (compatibility issues, feature updates, blah, blah). Most of the times it doesn't change anything though, but I still want to be on the safe side - and frankly, it bugs me that ASUS released a faulty driver. I'm also not sure the older driver version supports GPU-assisted video acceleration, which is an important feature for me.
There might be a way of fixing the driver, that's the reason I opened this topic, so if anyone knows how, please post.
Cheers, bye!
