Hi

I've got the EAH3650 silent and am using the last driver update from the asus downloads [8.451], Which is a year old now - a whole year without any driver update.

Another forum advised to install the latest drivers from the ATI site so I tried the
ATI Catalyst™ 8.12 Display Driver for Windows XP - but my card was incorrectly identified as a 3600 and wont work correctly.

Are there any other newer drivers I can use with this card ?

Any help most appreciated .

You need ATI Catalyst AGP Hotfix. Try googling it or read my How-to here

Your card is a 3600 series so it's ok to be identified as such. What do you mean it doesn't work ok?

Hi Alex - thanks for taking the time to reply

The asus drivers work ok but they are a year old now.

I have tried the last few versions of ATI Catalyst Display Driver for Windows XP many many times now, howevever I can not get them to work properly.
I have used driversweeper to remove all old ati files in safe mode before each install.

The resolution of 1440x900 will not display correctly on my Lcd monitor
as in this photo I 've taken..

any ideas ?
PS I just read your guide and I use a professional soundcard for music making, so I'm not bothered about hdmi audio or anything to do with hd out.

I just need my 1440x900 display to fill the whole screen rather than just a portion of it as in the photo link.

Hi Kusak

I have the same graphic Card ASUS 3650 and I have the newest Driver from ATI site  8.12 Ver. and the same Philips LCD display with 1440*900 Res.
It works perfect in both Vista OS and XP OS. I think u should reinstall the driver or reupdate over the old one  I always do that and work correctly.

I'm having a few 3d shading problems with the Asus drivers - and these are apparently updated in the ati version - let's just hope Asus eventually release some updated drivers.

Anyway thanks for the help

I'd be interested in getting my drivers updated too... ASUS has been NOTORIOUSLY bad for being behind for drivers (one graphics card: 5 year old drivers on a 2.5 year old product... OUCH!  Had to go to NVIDIA for the drivers myself)

Currently, I'm configured with the AH3650 card, and have been told by tech support to update my drivers off the asus web-page.  Drivers on this site are OLDER than the ones provided on the CD for installation.. and those ones are fairly old as well.  The direct from ATI drivers weren't playing nice with me, either.

Suggestions, please?
