From what I have heard is that these type of batteries need calibration in cases they seem to last too short. The thing is that it has some kind of memory system. For example, it is correct that the very first time you should do a full charge and then a full discharge and then a full charge again. Thereafter you can plug in and out whenever you want and it will not harm the battery. I even read some advise that says you should try to keep your battery from 40-100% charged.

Here is another version of "Battery calibration":-

What's battery calibration? It's meant for a battery that is charging to 100% and the charging light turns off as if it has finished.... then when you pull the plug it goes from 100% down to 90/85% in a minute or two....... this is something very common to every type of battery over the years. What the calibration tool does is it drains and fills the battery and tells the computer ok.... it'll fill 9/10 of the way....... so that is now 100% instead of 90%.... so your life still keeps going down, but the system will just tell you this is what the battery is capable of now and this is 100%.

Looks like it only adjusts what the system regards 100% full as being. If this is correct, then all it is really doing is masking a failing battery.

But then again, don't believe everything you read on the internet. ;)

Thank you for your explanation.
But my problem is that the battery never goes till 100% .. so if I understand what you explained, the battery calibration won't fix the issue my battery encounters ?

If I'm right, do you know how to fix it ?

Thanks again
