Good Morning Excuse my English
I have a probleme with my R2HV with Wista OS After few minutes of work in my notebook, the touch-screen is not tactile. It is not mouse near the cursor, and no action with my stylet or my finger. It's a driver issue or a hardware issue? I must return the UMPC at the after sales service??

Your english is perfect...
Maybe you can help me, with your R2Hv model. I have upgrade my XP to Vista Ultimate and now I am looking for a driver disk. Will you share this with me via a FTP or PtP(emule) website, because the website of ASUS is not sufficient.
If yes then please let me know when you want to share it and under which name I can find it.
Thanks, Jos Email: jvdsanden@home.nl

I would expect asus to provide the disk includeing OEM software if what is on the website is insufficient.
I also have the touch screen issue where it will randomly stop working. We are not the only ones and there are several people experience this issue.
Report your problem as a tecnical enquiry to Asus and hopefully the driver iwll be updated and put on the support downloads part of this site soon.

Just got my R2Hv and encountered the same problem tried to find a solution on the support pages. I wrote to Asus. But right now the touch screen is not working at all. So my question is there already news on a driver? Anybody has some advise about fixing this. rgrds, Keren

| I have the same issue with my R2H (900 MHz model that shipped with XP Tablet PC Edition). I have installed Vista on the second partition three times. I was able to decrease the frequency of the occurrences by downloading and installing the Pan Jit touchscreen driver; however, I don't recommend this, as it was an XP driver, and it caused at least a couple of BSODs in Vista. When the touchscreen goes out on me, I go into Device Manager, uninstall the USB HID, then let it rediscover and reinstall the touchscreen. If only it would work that way for the wireless, which I rarely see stick around!

| Hey,
Just wanted to chime in on the problem. Recieved my brand new
r2hv today and it´s been having the touchscreen-problem since
the beginning. can´t seem to find out why it drops. it usually goes when i am doing another task in the system (installing, uninstalling, changing settings etc.)
Hope asus will find a solution very soon.

Got an answer back (a very short one....) to install ATKOSD2 driver. I had to google to find out where to download this and found it on another forum.
This helped me and touchscreen is working. rgrds, Keren

| Got the same info from asus nordic support. downloaded the ATKOSD2 driver package dated 070126. Didn´t work. Still problems with touchscreen. Also did a full reinstall of system. I ran the .exe file in the zip folder(atkosd driver) and the file installed. But, the touchscreen stops working from time to time. Damn, this is really annoying. Hope Asus finds a better solution soon.

Hi Keren, I have the same problem, also bought my r2hv in the netherlands. Already did a complete reinstall and installed again from the driver cd. Still no luck.
Can you give any details about the driver you installed? Where did you get it? Is it still working?
Could you send it to spamcatch at hccnet dot nl?
Thanks in advance

Hello all,
I have had the same problem of pen input not working suddenly. After hours of trying to figure this out with reloading/unloading of drivers, still no success.
I am certain it is a driver issue - when I press the login button on the upper left corner of my R2HV, the screen where it shows options to logoff, taskmanager, etc. WILL ALLOW me to use the pen input without any problems.
I hope this helps in solving the puzzle.
Tom R2HV running Vista Home Premium, 2GIG ram.
