Does anyone know how to deactivate Express Gate?  I find that the computer loses about 10% of its battery power per day when turned off, and I'm assuming Express Gate is causing the problem.  Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem here.
I'd like to be able to turn it off without having to take the battery, simply because it's sucks the battery, otherwise it's a cool feature.

Com'on people... any good answer?
This is the only bad thing I've found on G50...

(Sorry if you came rushing as you saw a new message)

PS: Another way: Uninstal Express Gate... I'll search a bit more, but so far it's the best I found (if you really hate to take the battery out).

PS2: I just called Asus and they said there's an option on EG to turn it off... haven't checked that yet.

Uninstall the express gate will not turn off the stupid hotkey light.. It is annoying enough.

So what is the option to turn the EG off?

No option...
He probably doesn't know, too (or doesn't know what Express Gate is).
Maybe there's a way to open like "Preferences" while on Windows, but if it was there it wouldn't be that hard to find.

I came to this forum, because I believed that there would be someone here frm Asus to answer our questions... And one of the main reasons I bought from Asus was because people say good things about their customer service. I haven't seen that yet.

There is an option to enable or disable express gate in the bios, you should find it under "tools"
