After installing the software that comes with this drive (but not the IN-CD stuff), I don't see anything in Start-Programs that looks like the Asus firmware update program. Should I see it somewhere?
The Nero CD that comes with this drive has a directory on it called "ODD Toolkit" with only one file in it - OODUpdate.exe (7/23/2003). When I run it, I get this:
"We are sorry that now ASUS is setting up the information of new firmware, or your network is unstable. Please update later, and press ok to exit"
Nero Infotool says that I have firmware version 1.06 - is there a newer version?
So basically, is oodupdate.exe the correct program to run for updating the firmware, and if not where can I get the right software, and is there a newer firmware version than 1.06?
