Hi Grumpa,

Is it normal that "wireless setup" is gray out? I have not got my usb yet.

And I can not find 1.15N now, only 1.12N is there.

Thank you very much!

A new wireless spec is in the making for 60Ghz and 7Mbps transfer rate. ASUS has already partnered with Atheros (one of the chip makers) to build it into new mobos. Why is this important for media players? For one thing we will finally be able to stream HD video inside our homes with no lag. Maybe we will see it in a media player by next year. But for now I'm looking to replace my Roku in August when the ASUS O'Player HD2 is available. See link below for a great place to get specs and compare devices .... http://www.iboum.com/net-media-players.php Mike

Grumpa,

do you still have this hybrid firmware? if you do, can I get from you? I can not find it from the above url anymore.

Thanks, John

Here you go John:

After you get 1.09 installed on the R1, you can jump to v1.15.  The R1/R3 Hybrid works very well with an "n" USB WLAN stick (Realtek chip).

Works really well with an "n" USB WLAN dongle (Realtek chip)
