Hello,  The A8M2N-LA is a proprietary motherboard that is used in the m7580n system by HP.  I am just wondering if there is anywhere I can get more information about this motherboard?  Specifically if it will support DDR2 800/667/533 since it uses the AM2 socket set?  Or if it is limited to the DDR2-400?  Thanks!

Here are the details:

I just bought a Compaq-branded HP system with this mb.  (Presario SR2010NX)  HP's spec says it is an ASUS A8M2N-LA, code name "Naos-GL6".
(spec and picture) http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00757470&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3239113&dlc=en&lang=en
It only has 2 DIMM sockets, 2 SATA sockets, and a very basic set of mb connectors on the back of the PC (3 audio, eth, vga, kb, mouse, 2 usb).  The mb specs for several Compaq Presario models and the HP Pavilion a1410e are similar.

However, the HP Pavilion a1620e http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00757531&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3253996&lang=en
says that it also uses the A8M2N-LA, but the code name is "NodusM3-GL8E". It claims to have 4 DIMM slots, 4 SATA, and many more connectors, including  SPDIF, 1394, 6 audio connectors).

Looking at "my" A8M2N-LA, it is clear that it could have 4 DIMMs but only two were installed.  Likewise for all the other connectors.  But yet it's the same A8M2N-LA??  I don't understand.
