I'm getting 2.4 M upload speed on my RT-N56U instead of the 15 M upload speed I'm supposed to get. I'm not using a modem from my provider but instead am using the RT-N56U to connect directly to my provider. My provider (Fairpoint) showed up for a service visit and showed me that they get 15 M upload speeds using their modem on my connection and that the upload speed problem is due to my RT-N56U. Note - The download speed of 30 M is working correctly. Can anyone tell me 1) Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do to resolve it ? 2) What I could be missing in the RT-N56U configuration that would cap the wired upload speed at 2.4 M ? Edit - I connected a very old US Robotics modem that I had and the upload speed showed 15 M (correct). Could the RT-N56U be defective and limiting me to 2.4 M ?

I'm having a similar issue-
I have Verizon FiOS Service - 30up/30down.

Here are my speeds and you will see the problem:
With the Verizon Router connected with a Cat6 cable to the ONT
Wired Connection: 45 down/30 up
Wireless : 5down/2up

When I swap in the Asus N56U I get the following:
Same Cat6 cable direct connecting N56U to the verizon ONT
Wired Connection: 45 down/10 up
Wireless Connection: 30/40down and 10up

what could be causing the upload speed to be so slow?

I found the problem. In the advanced settings, select WAN and then the quality of service tab (QoS). Input the correct upload maximum speed in the manual uplink speed box (the N56U selects what it thinks the best reliable upload speed it sees when you setup the connection).
