hi all,

When I boot my computer, I get through the booting process this message:
"Detecting drives: Done; No drives found."

What does this mean? I have 3 drives in my pc. Or what kind of drives are this messages speaks?

thanks

Hello Laios,

That message is because you have not connected any devices to JMicron SATA connecter.(see page 2-7  and 2-33 of manual).

You can disabled this message by Disabling J-Micron esata/PATA controller  in BIOS. (See page 3-28 of manual).

Hi BR

Thanks. I always though my internal SATA connection would be through JMicron. But as I learned now, it's only for externel SATA.

Thanks

Hello joschi4,

Not only for e-SATA but also IDE and JMicron SATA as well. (See page 2-33 of manual)

Because the ICH10 chipset will not support IDE devices any more.

Hello BR

So that means I shall installe anyway the newest JMicron Driver? Most of my 6 intern SATA connection are in use (e.g. intern hard disk).

thanks.

Hello joschi4,

YES if you have any devices that you want connect other than 6 SATA that you have connected to  ICH10 chipset.

NO if you do not have any devices to connect other than 6 SATA that you have connected to ICH10 chipset.

BR.
