Hello,
I have problem with a driver, "?" in yellow color, in the "Device Manager" and about that:
Intel(R) ICH9R LPC Interface Controller - 2916
How I can resolved that, or I can download this driver?
OS: Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 3.
Motherboard: Rampage Extreme

Thanks.

Pierre

@HEREMANS

Try downloading the free program 'DriverMax' @ http://www.drivermax.com/

Register for free. I use it all the time with my Rampage Extreme and it works very well. You will get the latest driver with this.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your help.

I try the system DriverMax in another computer not need a special driver.

But I not like the scan procedure about DriverMax.

So where I can just download this driver:

Intel(R) ICH9R LPC Interface Controller – 2916

Thanks

Pierre

Dear Pierre:

Intel packages all the drivers including the one you mention in their chipset updates.

You can download the chipset software and update all your Intel drivers safely and it will fix the missing drivers.   If you already have updated to 9.1.0.1007 set you can still force a reinstall using a command line switch.  Otherwise the updater software will skip installing all of the drivers if it sees in the windows registry that this version of  drivers have already been installed.

These are the steps you should take to force a reinstall of the Intel chipset drivers:

1. Download Intel's chipset which I have converted from an .exe file to a .zip file for you:
http://rapidshare.com/files/164251715/INF_allOS_9.1.0.1007_PV.zip

2. Unzip the file you just downloaded into a folder on your C: drive like "c:\temp"
(if you need an unzip program, download it here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html   )

3. From the Start menu where it says "Run" (in Vista "Start Search") type in "cmd" <enter>

4. Change folders in the new command window:    cd \temp\<unzipped folder name>

5. Once you found your folder with the setup.exe file in it, in the command window type:
setup -overall <enter>

Then it will open a window and you have to click yes to the agreement then it proceeds to install all the drivers one by one and it will show you the progress as it goes.  Then you probably have to restart then you're done.

Hope that helps,
Steven

Restart CMOS manually by pressing the button on back of your case\motherboard. Then follow the instructions (F1, then get previous version back from BIOS if you made a copy to BIOS1\2 etc.)
