Hi,

i'm from Germany so sorry if my English is not quite correct.

I want to buy the Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe with the PHANTEKS PH-TC14PE CPU-Cooler and the G.Skill Ares DIMM Kit 8GB PC3-12800 CL8-8-8-24 (DDR3-1600) (F3-1600C8D 8GAB) RAM.

My question is, fits the PHANTEKS PH-TC14PE CPU-Cooler on the Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe with the RAM? Collides the CPU-Cooler with the Coolers from the Voltage Converter?

I hope that I express myself properly and it's understandable what I mean.

With best regards and thanks
Buddy

I can't speak to your particular hardware but here is a situation that I had today.

I just assembled a Cooler Master V6 with G Skill F3-14900CL9Q-18GBXL DDR3 1866 4GX4. I had to disassemble the fan and fill the first slot with a stick and then reassemble the fan. It was really close but once done it was not quite touching. So you want to go over the specs of your hardware very carfully to avoid trouble.

Hi Buddy, I have a similar setup and it fit comfortably.
Instead of the Ares, I have the G.Skill RipjawsX PC3-17000 F3-21133C9Q-32GXH - which is 40mm tall, rather than the 33mm tall Ares.
My CPU cooler is the Noctua NH-D14, I looked up the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and they are very similar in size.
Phanteks with Dual Fans 159x140x171mm (LxWxH)
Noctura with fans 160x140x158 mm. (LxWxH)
I hope that helps you.

PS:
Despite the decent fit, I ended up installing a Corsair H100 to bring the temperature down a bit. 'Extreme' autotune now stays under 70C, where the Noctura let it get to around 85C

hi,

first thank you.
I assume that the hardware fits.

@ nilsson
I had also toyed with the idea to obstruct a Corsair H100. However, I read too much about noise from the pump and the possibility that one gets with this such a problem is very high. Or hatt the meantime improved?

You are into extreme overclocking well. I'm not going to do with my Ivy Bridge. This is when I run on standard and when overclocked to 4.2 or 4.3 GHz at most.

Hi, I just installed the H100 in a HAF-XM case and there is NO discernible noise from the pump. May change the 2 x 120 fans but still sooo quite and no problems with memory, mine is quite tall and fits great...highly recommend the H100 and its very easy to install.

I'm also using a Corsair H100 cooler and all I have to say is this is the cooler to get. No need to worry if any part of it is going to knock up against your RAM. It's quiet and temps are nice and low. I'm running at 4.66Ghz and RAM at 1650. I seldom go over about 85c when doing intensive gaming. I also have a CorsairLink which enables me to control the H100's fans and pump.
