Can we get some more information on this? Okay it may charge it faster, but how is this done? Is it tested to be safe to the iphone and also to other devices connected?

Be very careful with this program. I installed it yesterday and this was the result:

The Bugcheck was: 0x00000019 (0x00000003, 0x82d3db20, 0x82d3db00, 0x82d3db00)
Yes BSOD

The motherboard is a P6X58D Premium and is 100% up to date.

I'm using it with 100% success on my Crosshair IV Win 7 x64, so I guess there's just some bugs to work out.

I also got a BSOD after installing the AI Charger. The BSOD was pretty hard to remove as I could not even fix it using the standard "Boot to safe mode". Had to use the original W7 DVD and boot from there and then do repair to a previous "System restore" point. Has anybody figured out what the problem is?

IMHO (I may be wrong), what Ai Charger does is a quick and dirty change to USB settings when an iPhone/iPod/iPad is detected, to push more power than what it normally sends. This behavior is the same as of Apple line of notebooks and desktops. Some had been able to mimic this when using OSX on regular PCs by changing DSDT tables at OS boot time. ASUS, by having access to their own BIOS source files, could had done the same. Unfortunately, they opted to create a new utility -- sounds like a "hey competition, we have something new while you dont, eat my dust!" -- instead of going the proper way. At the same time, it was good they created an utility and did not messed up with a BIOS update, I wonder how much fuzz that would had caused after many people noticed this tool doesn't work as expected. Having said that, yes, I had tried this tool (v1.00.06) on my P7P55D LE board. It indeed charges my 3GS faster than before, but the sync bumps from the regular 5 minutes to over 4 hours -- left two nighs syncing to find out how long it would take. All in all, thanks but no thanks, I would stick with my iPhone wall charger, which charges as fast as the tool should, and don't mess with my syncing. However, if Asus can work around these issues (random blue screens, slow sync speeds, messing with 3rd party apps), I strongly believe that will be a standard app to many users.

I have a P5Q Deluxe MB, and Ai Charger seemed to cause the system to become unstable.  I uninstalled it, and all's good.  Is there a compatibility chart anywhere for this program?  If so, I can't seem to find it.

I managed to remove AI charger as it was causing me BSOD. Just uninstalling caused BSOD on restart but running a registry cleaner (ccleaner's registry cleaner) after uninstalling but before rebooting fixed it
