I sent this in to ASUS tech support: "The system came up with an error "Overclocking failed" (I have never overclocked the CPU, the RAM is set to 1333MHz though) I chose reset BIOS defaults and then I configured the BIOS for my devices. Now I get error: LOADING ASUS EXPRESS GATE EXPRESS GATE INSTALLATION IS INCOMPLETE VERSION-POST CODE: (L01309 - 8C000002) Everything else still works fine. Can I reinstall Express Gate?" ASUS replied suggesting I try booting the system with just VGA, CPU, PSU, 1 stick RAM. I tried that and it doesn't work. I emailed 'Manager_TMSS@asus.com' asking for more help but no reply yet. It has been awhile. I then downloaded "ExpressGateSSDTools_Setup_v1.0.0.8_20090507" and used the DFI file ST_ASUSEG00_512MB_v1.4.10.4_20090706 to image the onboard SSD. It still gives me the error. Any advice what to do next? I also asked them about support for 1920x1080 resolution in Express Gate.. I looked around online awhile back and I vaguely remember something about editing Express Gate files to get different resolutions - I didn't realise the implication of that question combined with this problem till just now. Oh well, I didn't try that and that isn't why it is broken!!! >.< Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

So I rebooted to install BIOS 0704 because I was running 0610 and I read that it might help to upgrade the BIOS.

I do a lot of photography and I typically leave my card reader plugged in.

I unplugged the card reader when I was to do the BIOS update and Express Gate now works without BIOS update.  I didn't unplug it before... I did not believe it mattered (silly).

I updated the BIOS, booted with card reader plugged in and I get the error again.

Unplug the reader and Express Gate works again.  *sigh*

It is a 5-in-1 Transcend, but I don't think it matters about the brand..probably just the number of drive letters you are taking up.  I don't have a different type to test with but maybe someone else can verify my results.

Hi,

I also am now experiencing the same issue with P6T motherboard using 100MB System Reserved NTFS partition via 500GB SATA drive configured as AHCI :
Express Gate Installation is incomplete
VERSION POST CODE: (L01309 - 8C000002).

Have you been able to find out from ASUS support what does this error mean and how to resolve the issue as I have tried re-installing Express gate v1.4.6.2 (Win 7 64 bit) several times now with no luck?

Thanks.

PS. I wonder if there's a way to completely delete the 100MB System Reserved NTFS partition & then re-create it and then install Express Gate again???

I am also getting this error message when booting up my machine.
Express Gate Installation is incomplete
VERSION POST CODE: (L01309 - 8C000002).

I was working just fine but one day I started getting the error message. Where should I start looking for the solution to the problem?

Why do you all not just disable Express Gate and boot into Windows properly to use the internet?

Well, I can't speak for anybody else, but I'd love to just permanently disable Express Gate. What's maddening is that I have some sort of MemOK problem that keeps resetting the BIOS. Every time BIOS gets reset, Express Gate gets re-enabled. Then the boot sequence hangs for a full minute with the "Loading Express Gate" message followed by the "incomplete installation" message. That's why.

Hi fleaker,

Are you sure that you do not just have a flat battery which keeps resetting your bios?

What memory do you have and how is it set up in bios?
