>When I start up my machine I get message overclocking failed or overvoltage failed, press F1 to run setup, press F2 to load default values and continue.  I press F1 Exit save configuration changes and exit now OK, the system loads into windows and runs fine, overclocked 10%. If I restart windows, I don't get message, only when I turn off, and then start.  Is there any way to get rid of this message? >  >

Are you using AI Booster or some other Asus overclocking utility?

What you might want to try is to set your 'AI Overclocking' to 'Manual'.  Then the 'System Clock Mode' to 'Manual'.  Generally, the Front Side Bus will be 200mhz but some faster Intel processors will run at 266mhz.  So this depends on what your processor is capable of.  In any case, setting the FSB manually can eliminate the CPU Overclocking Failed message.

I also found manually adjusting vcore voltage slightly higher eliminated this problem
the auto setting is not stable for oc .
manual adjustments rather than preset values are more reliable.

Dear!
The presentation of MunchBox is very clearly.
Now I have a bad MB like his MB (the same problem), I think when we buy a MB for Overclock but we can't do that, we were very angry and we won't belive in MB of Asus.
I think Asus is famous brand and it is a trustmark in my mind (nearly lovemark) but now I want to leave it.
If Asus want I still trust Asus brand, Asus shoud give us the solution and more support for the problem we met.
We can't wait anymore and we can't stand, it 's so late!

Thank & best regards
Hotman.

Which BIOS is currently loaded on your MB?  BIOS(s) earlier than 310 are very difficult to OC.  My system can not go above 5x OC and has to be set manually then.  Also ensure that you have pwr to the EZ-plug along with the videocards.  Also looking at your setup, that 650W PSU may be marginal during initial start when all the installed devices are placing the maxium load on the PSU.   This startup max load may cause undervoltage to the MB.

Dear all!

Thank for Paul 's answer!

Now I use Bios 310 and PSU Asus 450w, single Graphic Card. For me, I think it's enough to overclock.
Let me tell you that, Although I just set manual and don't change the default FSB, my MB noticed that's fail. Why? I think it's a bad MB.
For you, do you think I shoud change to other MB?!

Look forward your advice
Hotman

my power supply is ANTEC SONATA II piano black quiet mid tower ATX black 450 watt power supply (atx 12V 2.01)
so cud it be because of the Overclocked video card or its because of some BIOS issue?

Munchbox's problem should be solved by Ulrich and kwalker's good advice.

As for hotman and bhardwaj, what are you doing with those power supplies and those bios's?  They're no good - period.  They're the source of your problems.

Before you get on here and start to rant (hotman) wouldn't it be a good idea to go through the forum posts and get some information on how to set this mobo up?  It's all there - often more than once.
