Hi , Please can you assist me with this problem

After installing windows 7 32 bitt , the Pc wont recognize any ide hard drives

It shows errors under other devices in Device Manager

Mass Storage Controller & unknown device

it sees the IDE & SATA DVD Writer -  just wont pick up any IDE Drives

They are there in the Bios but not detected in Windows 7

I have tried downloading and installing Intel Matrix Storage manager ,  it wont run

If I cant get it to work I will have to change all my drives to SATA & copy all the DATA off the IDE drives  with a USB to IDE case , not looking forward to that

Any Ideas ?

If the drives are unallocated you won't see the drives, are they formatted?

Try a different IDE cable and set the pin to cable select.  Try booting with a single HDD and use a drive without an active partition.
