Looking for some help in regards to setting up a dual monitor system. Was told it is not possible to run 2 monitors with only the on board video. Yet, the motherboard has 3 output slots: VGA, D-DVI, HDMI. Is there a BIOS update that would allow multi-monitor support without the use of PCI-E video cards? Cheers!

The onboard video can run dual monitors, but not dual digital.  You can hook up one through the DVI or HDMI port, the other HAS to be hooked up to the D-Sub (VGA) port.  The DVI and HDMI ports are shared electrically, so only one will work at a time.

Question: why this board in particular for a no discrete video card system? This is a mid-range enthusiast board... the onboard video is more of an 'extra' feature.

Reason for MB Vid: I was a little short changed for a decent system, so I bought this MB on the grounds that I could update it easily without having to get another MB later. The onboard video is my temporary solution until I can secure said funds to run off of the future 2 PCI-Ex slots. As for monitors, I have 2 CRT analog monitors. So the dual monitor idea is a no go in the first place as of right now. But my next step is to get a second monitor. I just wanted to know if it was possible to do before I got too excited. I had read on numerous other places that it wasn't possible, but this looks to be good news! Thanks!

Can't you use a DVI splitter for dual monitors?
