Even though Windows 7 is the process of a phased release, there are no SATA RAID drivers listed for the M3A79-T Deluxe, however the M4A79T Deluxe does have Windows 7 SATA drivers listed and it also uses a SB750.

Any problems with using these drivers with the M3A79-T Deluxe?

(I know that you can use the Vista SATA drivers, but they seem to have some performance penalties with the RTM version of Windows 7).

Any ideas when Windows 7 drivers will be posted.  (Yes, this board is still being sold).

Thanks

The same driver should work on this board as well. But I do find it kinda strange since AMD has yet to release the driver for Win7 on there download site. Go ahead and give it a try, it's not like it will hurt anything. Either it will work or it won't.

I used the drivers for Windows Vista without any issues. My experience has been that Vista drivers for most devices will also work in Windows 7. So far I have installed on 3 different machines and have not had driver issues yet.

Yes I would really like official ASUS drivers for Windows 7 for the ma379-T deluxe...

I did try your suggested option but have now ran ito a Task 30 timeout on disk (Port Number 1,Target ID 1) at LBA 0x04e1fca6c (Length 0x14) warning.  This error frequently seems to be related to driver issues so I rolled back from 3.1.1540.127 (win7 64 Ma479T Deluxe {SB750}) to 3.1.1540.61 (vista 64 Ma379-T Deluxe).  It should be noted that their was no noteable performance benefits from the .127.

It should also be noted that I am using Catalyst 9.7 and a 1000watt PSU with RAID10.

I will note if continued warnings are observed using .61, but that is doubtfull given many months of use (with various RCs and betas and windows 2008 servers).

Have experienced no problems with using the vista 64 bit raid drivers on a raid 10 system over the last 7 weeks with using the release to manufacturing version of windows 7 64 bit.  Same holds true for using windows server 2008 r2.

Thus I do not recommend using the win 7 64-bit drivers from the ma479T deluxe on the ma379-t deluxe.

I would still prefer official asus drivers, but the vista 64-bit have worked fine.
