When i attempt to start my computer, i get the following message:

The system intruded, chassis opened or tempered before, please check the system.

My computer then restarts and i cannot get past setup.

I have an M2A-VM socket AM2 with an X2 4600+.

When i reset the CMOS, it will work until i restart, and i will receive the message again.

Why is this?

Hi s...

If your system has a chassis intrusion switch installed, then it is because someone opened the case.

If it doesn't have such a switch, it can occur it the chassis intrusion jumper has fallen off its default pins...

it's not that the case has been opened, because i have opened it many times before. i have run it with the case open, so that is not the problem. do you know which pins it might be?

The chassis intrusion jumper block is right above the CLRTC jumper block.... just below the SATA ports.
