I had my mobo repaired under warranty, and Asus flashed my bios to 1302 for some reason, which has caused some of my games to not run or they freeze my PC.
I have tried all methods to downgrade my bios to 1009, ASUSupdate, floppy method and cd method, all return a message saying "Warning, the bios image cant use in this motherboard,(EEprom type incompatable)"

Has anyone else had this problem?
If so, did you find a way to flash back?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried Asus Update with the BIOS Downgradable option ticked?.
Open Asus Update and choose "Options", then make sure "BIOS Downgradable" is ticked and then try to Reflash to 1009.

I'm having the exact same issue. I upgraded my CPU to an AMD Dual-Core 3800+ and just thought I'd try the newest bios to see if the performance was any better. Now I the computer won't see my add-in ide controller unless I have the bios to default settings. If I even take off the logo screen so I can see the boot information I can't boot to windows.

I get the same error as you saying the EEprom type incompatible. I think they need a fix for this ASAP.

Use an Older DOS Flash Utility, Had this problem also.

Using an older flash utility worked fine, I downgraded to 1009.

I think the older AFUDOS on here does work, but not the latest, does not allow downgrade.
