[Xonar HDAV1.3 / HDAV1.3 Deluxe – firmware update for 24Hz support notice]

End users may go through RMA for updated function if needed.

[How to know if your HDAV needs update]

1.      Check SN on colorbox

If the SN starts with “8” (manufactured in 2008), it will need update to support 24Hz frame rate

If the SN starts with “9”, it supports 24Hz frame rate.

2.      Check firmware version in Xonar audio center

If the firmware version is 1.39 => newest version and supports 24Hz

For version older than 1.39 => needs update to support 24Hz frame rate

l  All Xonar HDAV manufactured in 2009 provide 24Hz support

I am from Germany. Asus Germany RMA conditions state that I should contact the vendor from who I bought the card. Is that the correct way? I cannot find any phone number for the German Asus tech support.

Just got my RMA #, but the instructions are VERY confusing.....

The instructions say not to return the original box, cables etc.  Since my cards are the deluxe model with the analog daughter card, do I return those?

Will I receive new cards or will mine be reworked?

Vern

Warranty repair says to return to vender.  I don't think this is possible.  Has ASUS informed all these different venders?

Please more info/directions.

Attention Asus:

please inform us if it is possible we could perform the firmware update ourselves, I know many people would prefer this option.

Yes I agree. If its only a firmware update surely there must be some mechanism we can do it ourselves ???

I bought mine last September, the shop I bought it from isn't going to want to RMA it after I've owned it for 5 months.
